The Tall Timber design was intended to create a new housing development in Cincinnati in compliance with the Living Building Challenge's demanding sustainability standards. The goal was to use a timber structure to create a self-sufficient living space with 100 apartments that not only completely generates its own electricity but also has its own water storage, greenhouses, as well as educational and sports facilities.

The focus on wood as a building material is continued in the interiors. The construction is based on a simple cube module that can be combined to create different apartments and adapts to the hilly terrain.
