For this upcycling project, an existing chair needed to be combined with a custom design to create a double chair. Each of the two halves were to represent a part of a well-known duo. Instead of two different people, however, my tête-à-tête represents the dual identity of Bruce Wayne.

The entrepreneur is symbolized by Mart Stam's classic S34. His secret identity as Batman grows out of this and blurs the boundaries between the two. At night, he can thus transform into his alter ego by sliding to the side, sitting as comfortably as in his Batmobile.
